Donna was born in Montreal and moved to Alberta in 1979. She studied Psychology in the Honours program at the University of Calgary, and obtained her Law degree from the University of Calgary in 1988. She moved to Red Deer in 1995 to join her husband. They now have two young daughters.
After articling at the Alberta Court of Appeal and Court of Queen's Bench, she joined the civil litigation department at a major Calgary law firm where her practice involved representing oil and gas companies, financial institutions, insurance companies and individuals in various civil disputes. She relocated to Edmonton in 1992 where her litigation practice involved representing insurance companies and individuals in personal injury and other insurance related matters. Since joining Warren Sinclair LLP in 1995, her litigation practice has included Insurance and Personal Injury, Employment Law and Corporate/Commercial disputes.
Donna has successfully appeared at all levels of Court in the province and before various administrative tribunals. She is also trained in the Mediation of Civil Disputes. Donna has been a participating member of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and Central Alberta Bar Association. She has participated in various presentations to professional people in the banking and insurance industries and to high school and college students.
Her community and professional involvement has included being Chairs of the Central Alberta Bar Association, Red Deer Downtown Business Association, Red Deer Visitor and Convention Bureau, World of Choices, and Futures Committee of Red Deer Child Care Society. She is currently the Vice Chair (and founding member) of Central Alberta Legal Clinic Foundation, Chair of the Central Alberta Regional Advisory Committee for Junior Achievement and a member of the Parent Advisory Council for a local school. Her sport interests include mountain biking, running and swimming.
