Rhonda, born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, attended Okanagan College in Kelowna and in 1986 transferred to York University in Toronto, Ontario where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Languages. Rhonda took her Law degree at the University of Calgary where she graduated in 1993. At law school Rhonda served as President of the Student Law Society, Western Canada Coordinator for the National Law Students Constitutional Conference, and Faculty Council Student Representative.

Rhonda became associated with Warren Sinclair LLP following completion of Law school and was admitted to the Bar in 1994.

Rhonda's volunteer work in the community includes serving as President of the Central Alberta Kidney Foundation, Director on the Alberta Women's Shelter Board, Volunteer with the Red Deer Youth and Volunteer Centre and Coach for junior girls soccer with the Red Deer Soccer Association.

Rhonda is fluent in French and German, and has combined her love of languages and travel in trips to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Rhonda is married and, with her husband Paul, enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, canoeing and soccer.
