You will sharpen your skills with cutting-edge technology resources and enjoy working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. We therefore look for individuals who take pride and ownership in their work and demonstrate the importance of exceptional client service in everything they do.

Other than the position above, Warren Sinclair LLP does not currently have any specific openings for legal assistants. However, feel free to forward your resume and cover letter to the attention of Myrna Getschel via email to mgetschel@warrensinclair.com, via fax to: 403-343-6069 or via regular mail to 600, 4911 – 51 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 6V4.

Articling Students

As one of the larger firms in Red Deer, Alberta, we offer a challenging and diverse articling experience to motivated students. During your articles you will be exposed to a wide range of experiences in various areas of law. You will actively participate in all aspects of the client files, including the preparation of documentation, meeting with clients to obtain instructions, conducting legal research, attendance at court and drafting correspondence, agreements and pleadings. If you have a preference for a particular area of law, please let us know.

When assessing potential articling students we know that academic performance during law school is important, but it isn’t the only criteria for success at Warren Sinclair. What we really look for are well-rounded, focused and energetic individuals who want to be part of our firm and the Red Deer community. It is therefore important to highlight why you chose Warren Sinclair and what attracts you about Red Deer in your cover letter.

Timing:

Articling positions normally start in the spring (May/June), after completion of law school. We usually review articling student applicants at the end of each summer, or sometimes in the early fall, for a position starting the following year. Therefore applicants who apply by the summer (June or July) for a position commencing the following spring (May/June) will have the best chance of being considered for that position.

To apply for an articling position, please send cover letter, resume, transcripts and references to the attention of Mr. Kane Gellert via email to kgellert@warrensinclair.com, via fax to: 403-343-6069 or via regular mail to 600, 4911 – 51 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 6V4.

We sincerely thank all applicants who apply, but normally only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
