Tristen was born in Red Deer and moved throughout Alberta before returning to Red Deer to complete secondary school. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta, where she volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. Prior to law school, Tristen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Crime and Justice Studies from the University of Alberta. In her spare time, Tristen enjoys running, crocheting, and nature photography.
