Born and raised in Red Deer, Dallin studied at the University of Alberta, where he became the top undergraduate student in both the Honours English and Honours History programs – and was published in the academic history journal, Constellations. After three years of undergraduate work, he attended law school at the University of Alberta, where he achieved first class standing and received several academic scholarships and awards.
Dallin is involved in the community and has served as a tutor and track and field coach for Lindsay Thurber High School, as an English teacher for a Korean language partnership program, and as a volunteer for the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, reading, collecting Lost Generation books, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
